Kubera Mooligai Thiri
Kubera Vilakku Thiri, also known as Malabar catmint. (Perumthubai or PEI Viratti Ellai in Tamil) is a plant that is used in traditional South Indian medicine. For its spiritual and medicinal benefits. It is sometimes used in “Kubera Vilakku Thiri”, a spiritual ritual performed to lord kubera.
The leaves of this plant (kubera mooligai thiri) are believed to have various properties. That can bring peace and prosperity, and ward off evil spirits.
In spiritual contexts, the leaves, made as kubera herbal thiri(wick) are sometimes used in offerings to Hindu deities. Especially Lord Kubera, the god of wealth and prosperity.
Kubera herbal thiri(wicks) are also sometimes used to create a protective barrier around the house to keep out negative energy.
